Training for this week...

The last week has been full of emotion, for all of us. Heather was saying at Grandma's on Thursday that we are all running for Grandpa, and the bus. I will have her get on this site and list on the info she has.
This has made running for me so much more than a marathon. I am running for a purpose, one that I love and that is dear to my heart. I hope we can get the last $17,000 for the bus, let's all make Grandpa's dream come true.

Here is the training for the marathon for this next week.

DAY 1: 3 MILES

DAY 2: 4 MILES

DAY 3: 3 MILES

DAY 4: 6 MILES

TIP FOR THIS WEEK:

Carbohydrates really do make a difference. Increase your intake, make sure they are good Carbs, whole wheat carbs (if eating breads and pastas), lots of fruit, drink plenty of water, eat lots of veggies, and low fat foods.

GOOD LUCK! Train hard, with a purpose in your heart:)

Training for this week...

SORRY! I am a day late on the training post. For this week you need to boost up from what you did last week. If you were following the beginner for last week, go to the next step, and so on. If you were running for 30 min last week 4x's a week, just up your pace a bit. Make sure you are not running to fast. you want to be able to have an even breathing pattern.
Today I went to a running store and got my running monitored. They then directed me to the perfect shoe for my foot. They also said that you should not run in the same shoe backtoback. If you can, get two pairs of high quality shoes and switch them off every day. It gives your shoes the time they need to decompress. As you run on your shoes they get compacted, it takes 36 hours for your shoes to decompress. It is not a major deal, but if you can do it, get two pair.

Keep up the great work. We are almost to our official training time of 16 weeks! Get ready!! Happy running
